This months issue of Dazed & Confused managed to spark controversy before it even hit newsstands. The cover features the beautiful Ms. Azealia Banks smoking an inflated pink condom. The authorities in Singapore, Dubai, Malta, India, Thailand and Switzerland have decided the cover is too indecent for their citizens to handle. Who knew the Swiss were such prudes? It's odd that a condom can cause such a stir. If Azealia were brandishing a pistol on the cover I bet the reaction would have been less of an outcry and more of a whimper. Bravo to the team at Dazed & Confused: challenging authority, grabbing headlines and promoting the best new artist in years. Y'all deserve lots and lots of safe sex.
Edit: I just got back from buying my copy and the guy who served me covered Azealia's face whilst the magazine was on the counter, bagged it as quickly as possible before shoving it towards me without making eye contact. Either I was wearing a Klan mask or people are more prudish than I thought.
