The fashion world has descended upon Florence for Pitti W and this year Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos were the womenswear guest designers. The pair splashed their kaleidoscopic digital prints over the palazzos of Florence, transforming the venue into a moving mood board for their Resort collection. I particularly like the tubular stained glass window prints and the level of texture in the garments. Even through a computer screen the beading, silk, sequins and waffle fabrics seem so tangible. I do not usually pay attention to shoes as they are not particularly my forté but I adore this collections wavy heels that remind me of Christopher Kane's Fall 2011 wavy jelly detailing. I'm impressed that such a young London designer has already expanded into having a Resort range. This collection and the exposure that Pitti W will give the brand will certainly help establish Peter Pilotto as a major player at London Fashion Week.
